Free dance - Improvisation
An alive body awareness serves as a bridge from movement to dance. The experience, that movement feels like dance, is often given, when experimenting with movement calls for individual expression. The dancer enjoys the wonder of spontaneous, expressive movement in the improvised dance, opening up to a feeling of connection with the creative product.
Diving even more into the space of dance happens by integrating its elements gradually into the own repertoire: Games, exercises, exploration tasks address the body in articulating body parts, growing into body shapes, exerting different body functions and basic body activities. They initiate the experience, that space, time and dynamics shape the individual dance by becoming aware of their influence in each single movement. The creative process is supported by themes from the outside world - sound, language, objects and materials, images, art pictures, places, relationships etc. - that stir the imagination and dissolve movement from the inside to the outside: the improvised dance.
