Children - projects in schools/kindergarden
Music and Dance Education - 4 to 6 year olds
This offer is directed to children in kindergarden and music schools following their nature of playfullness and curiosity. The philosophy behind is to be guided by the child‘s drive to explore and to play, giving it time to perceive fully and allowing to be bound to its own world deeply in contact with itself. Objects and materials (from toys to things from nature), images, speech and language (from nursery rhymes to picture books), songs, instruments and simple dances inspire this process. On detouring paths these impulses lead to sense-motor development and social competence, all initiated and driven by joy of play with music and dance.
Music and Dance Education - 6 to 11 year olds
Bearing in mind the child‘s development, musical education at primary school age develops the playfulness and creativity of earlier years in order to enable a holistic learning process. Spreading the access to music and dance for the growing child, teaching processes include different areas - sensory, emotional, motor, social-communicative and cognitive - by creating inspiring situations and themes that let music and dance emerge. Experiencing this naturally develops the urge for knowledge and proficiency, that can also facilitate the learning of a musical instrument. This offer is meant to cover or enrich the music education in primary schools.
Creative dance in schools - 6 to 11 years old
"The art of dancing is the art of moving the body in a rhythmical way, usually to music, to express an emotion or idea, to narrate a story, or simply to take delight in the movement itself“ (Karoß Sabine: Tanz für Kinder im Vorschulalter)
Music, language, images/pictures, stories, objects etc. stir the child‘s imagination and support to generate creative movement in improvisations. The newly discovered movement material allows enjoyment and delight in the dance in the moment it is found. In order to stretch individual expression, it can also inspire choregraphic work by being developed in processes of composition lead by different composition techniques.
"2 - 4 - 6 - 8! Toes - heel - forward - straight!“
This dance offer for primary and secondary school stresses the social-communicative aspect of dancing. Gathering in group dances like Country, Square, Line Dances or dances from different countries allows the experience of a feeling of common movement and unity. Pupils learn that it is in the responsibility of each individual to make a dance work and enjoyable.
Elemental Music and Dance Theatre
In this specific form of Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy sound/music, speech/language and movement/dance join in the scenic play. It is a characteristic aspect of this work, that not already composed and choreographed material is studied, but that the elements of scenes - songs, rhythmic speech, singing story telling, stylistic movement and dance, instrumental pieces - are devised from playing and diving joyfully into creativity and improvisation. Inspired by picture books, fairy tales, short stories, art pictures or even short poems and rhymes the individual child explores its expression in different areas, finds its prefered role and enriches the group process throughout the development of the play.
